Scott Arfield next club: Burnley midfielder’s contract running down and clubs are lining-up to sign him

Burnley’s 29-year old Scott Arfield is on the verge of leaving the Premier League club this month with the Scottish international’s contract running down in a few months, meaning if he doesn’t sign soon he will be able to leave on a free transfer. West Ham United are the current favourites to sign Scott Arfield from Burnley in this transfer window with odds of 2/1 (3.00), according to bookmaker BetVictor. David Moyes would likely be happy to link up with a fellow countryman as well as a player that has experience at Premier League level and knows how to play through a relegation scrap. Although it may be a signing that would underwhelm Hammers fans it could be one that adds a bit of steel and ‘know how’ to a West Ham side that has been accused of being a bit ‘soft’ in the opening months of the season.

Interestingly it could also be the time for a move back to Scotland for Arfield, and Rangers are showing an interest in the 29-year old.
