Celebrities both old and new have made their way back to the Big Brother house, and familiar face Calum Best is the early favourite to win - but rap star Ray J is quickly closing the gap.
What Are The Odds has the latest on who’s making an early challenge on the CBB 2017 crown after the celebrities entered Elstree, with Paddy Power offering odds on the 14 contestants vying for another shot at world fame.
Best, son of late footballer George, has galloped into an 11/4 (3.75) lead after viewers reacted positively to his reaction upon seeing mother Angie—currently out at 18/1 (19.00) - follow him into the house.
But UK audiences have also taken a shining to Ray J, it appears, after he fell from massive odds of 33/1 (34.00) to a much more favourable 10/1 (11.00). The rapper, who shot to superstardom after featuring in Kim Kardashian’s sex tape many moons ago, is now level with Loose Women presenter Coleen Nolan, showing just how highly rated his chances of winning may be.
Beating Ray J as things stand, however, comes former The Hills couple Speidi - Spencer and Heidi Pratt, who have once again taken to reality television in their attempts to revive some relevance and are currently priced at 5/1 (6.00) to come out on top as the show’s first winning pair. They’re followed by fellow American model Austin Armacost at 6/1 (7.00), while British DJ Brandon Block also just about pips Ray J in the odds at present, listed at 8/1 (9.00).
It seems like a race between the best of the rest after that leading bunch, with ballroom dancer James Jordan following wife Ola’s appearance on I’m A Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here with a reality display of his own, and he’s a dark horse to top the billing at 14/1 (15.00).
Calum Best isn’t the only ex-footballer offspring in the mix as 12/1 (13.00) Bianca Gascoigne - daughter of former England star Paul - weaves her way ahead of free agent Jamie O’Hara, who’s at 20/1 (21.00) alongside Scottish actor James Cosmo after being shown the exit by Gillingham earlier this year.
It’s not a good year for the more glamorous women among the celebrity crew, either, as beauts Stacy Francis, Nicola McLean and Jasmine Waltz find themselves marooned down the pecking order at respective odds of 22/1 (23.00), 33/1 (34.00) and 50/1 (51.00), meaning any of the trio could be favoured to be first out the departure lounge.
